WILD BASIL Clinopodium vulgare

A winter green perennial plant of woodland margins, hedge banks, scrubby grassland, waste ground, coastal cliffs and sand dunes. It is drought tolerant and works really well in gravel gardens and green roofs.

An aromatic herb, that is excellent for pollinators.

A species in decline.
