SOUTHERN POLYPODY Polypodium cambricum

Southern Polypody is semi-evergreen fern having a distinctive polypody which belongs to the Mediterranean-Atlantic element of the British Flora. It has a south-western distribution in Britain, England and Wales, where it is locally common in places. It prefers base-rich rocky substrates, such as limestone cliffs and walls but it also grows as an epiphyte on trees.
