LADY'S BEDSTRAW Galium verum

Briwydden y Felen

A beautiful plant with clusters of small yellow flowers. It produces a lovely honey scent and is a very attractive plant for pollinators. Unmistakeable whilst walking in the dunes, as it creeps amongst other plants sending up glorious yellow flower spikes.

In historical times, this plant was used to stuff mattresses. Hence the name 'bedstraw'.
