A deciduous shrub with white flat-topped flowers, bright red berries, and beautiful red leaves in autumn. The simple flowers are loved by hoverflies and the red berries are eaten by birds like bullfinches and mistle thrushes. Normally found in woods and hedgerows but can grow in a shrub border too.
