ENGLISH LAVENDER Lavandula angustifolia

Every garden should include a lavender plant as they are so very versatile. They are drought tolerant and aromatic with beautiful purple flowers on erect stems. They are a long lived shrub and do well with one annual clip to shape.

The RHS has launched its 'Perfect for Pollinators Plant List'. This list has been compiled to enable gardeners to make the best choices to support our declining pollinator species. Although not native, the average gardener cannot fail to be aware of the importance that Lavender provides for bees, butterflies and other pollinators.

Lavender thrives in free draining soils in sunny positions. They love gravel gardens. Lavender will not tolerate wet or heavy soils.

Suitable for edging borders and paths and are just fabulous in pots!
