Bird Cherry is a  native wild flowering cherry and is a real show-stopper, with a pendant of almond fragrant blossoms in the spring. It is a deciduous shrub, or small tree of moist woodland and scrub, stream sides and shaded rocky places. It is easy to grow in most soils, except acidic or water logged conditions. A great addition to the garden or as part of a hedgerow.
