Wild Onion is a perennial herb of well-drained calcareous soils. It will often be found in drier grasslands, coastal sites, hedgerows, roadsides, cultivated ground and the edges of cereal fields and woodlands. It is also called Crow Garlic. It often appears as a reddish head of bulbs with occasional pink flowers.
