Hoseshoe Vetch is an attractive mat-forming perennial vetch found in chalk and limestone districts where it grows on very thin soils or in rock crevices, that are in full sun. It attracts many pollintors and is the larval foodplant for two scarce butterflies, the Adonis Blue and Chalkhill Blue, as well as being an important food source of the Dingy Skipper.
