Cotton Thistle striking and tall biennial herb of fields and hedgerows. This tall thistle has coarse silver leaves and a winged stem. The large purple flower heads are very attractive to pollinators and the seeds are also a good food source for over wintering birds.

A real conversation starter in any garden.
