Gwifwrnwydd

A deciduous shrub of woods, scrub and hedgerows. Named, due to the fact that it grows near to paths showing your way home. In the spring, it produces a flat cluster of cream flowers. In autumn, the leaves turn red, orange and yellow.

The flowers are sought after by pollinators and in the autumn, the birds feast on the berries.

Foodplant of the elusive Orange-tailed Clearwing moth.
