WAVY HAIR-GRASS Avenella (Deschampsia) flexuosa

Very pretty tufted perennial grass with fine leaves and delicate, shimmery flower heads, found on heaths, moors and open woods. Larval food plant of the rapidly declining brown wall butterfly.
