Cuckooflower, otherwise known as Lady's Smock. An early flowering perennial herb of wet grassy places. A very good flower for garden lawns. This plant grows well where there are seasonally wet flushes. This attractive spring flower is the food plant of the Orange-tip butterfly.

Foodplant of the Green-veined White and Orange-tip butterflies.

Flowers: April to June.
