Also known has Herb Bennet. A perennial herb of shady areas, with free draining, mildly acidic soils and also grows well in partial shade. It can be found in deciduous woodlands, scrub, hedgerows and river banks. Produces yellow, strawberry-like flowers, followed by very attractive and distinctive looking, red hooked seed capsules.

An important flower for early pollinators.
