Small-flowered Evening-primrose is a tall biennial neophyte. often found in light well-drained soils, sand dunes, coastal areas, railway tasckdies and waste ground.
It produces four very large yellow petaled flowers, which open in the evening and stay open until mid-morning, emitting a fragrance to attract nocturnal pollinators.
