A pretty biennial with fluffy blue flowers, popular with pollinators. Found in dry coastal areas, rough grassland, heaths and rocky hillsides. Sheep's-bit (also called sheep's-bit scabious) will also grow in rockeries, alpine gardens, and dry sunny parts of your garden.  

The flowers are also highly visible under ultraviolet (UV) light, which helps guide insects to the nectar and pollen.
