Meadow Thistles are one of the more attractive thistles. Lacking the prickles that people often associate with thistles. Can be found in damp meadows and grasslands. The flower is often described as having a 'shaving brush head'. It is a key species of threatened marshy grassland habitats. This species has seen a marked decline due to the loss of damp meadows.
Meadow Thistles provide a very good nectar source for pollinators.
