Marsh valerian is a pretty perennial plant that will grow in bog gardens, damp meadows and boggy pond margins. A species in rapid decline due to habitat loss.
In modern times, Marsh Valerian is used to treat insomnia. Interestingly, it was once used as a Plague antidote!
