Gold y Gors
Marsh Marigold is a perennial herb of wet grasslands, edges of rivers, streams, canals, ponds, ditches and wet meadows. Also known as Kingcups, Marsh Marigold produces large stunning, bright yellow flowers, which certainly look like cups for kings. Leaves are large and kidney shaped.
Due it's showy appearance, it is sought after for shallow garden ponds and bog gardens.
Excellent for pollinators and for providing shelter in wetlands and ponds.
This species has suffered a substantial decline over the last few decades, due to the loss of wetland habitat.
