Tewi-yr-Eryr
A non-native, perennial neophyte but a good nectar and pollen source for pollinators with fiery orange-red flowers. It will survive in a mown lawn and flower if mowing pauses in June. As the flower stalks are long it also works well in an uncut meadow.
This plant prefers dry ground and full sun and spreads very easily by runners. Some people find it can become a bit dominant under the perfect conditions and may need to be kept under check by pulling up runners periodically, and mowing before the plant goes to seed.
Height: Up to 30cm
Flowers: May to July
Colour: Orange
