Regular price £5.05

Size

A rare perennial sedge of short grasslands. Thought to be confined to rough, open grassland on limestone. However, recent studies have shown that it grows only where non-calcareous drift (suchs as sand or gravel) overlays the calcareous bedrock. It is a species that thrives in well drained acid to neutral soils.

It is considered an indicator species -rich grassland and ancient woodl species.
