Also known as Old Man's Beard, due to the fact that the seed heads look like a woolly beard in the hedgerow in the autumn. A scrambling climber found in bushes, hedges, scrubby areas and around trees.
Good for pollinators. Foodplant of the Pretty Chalk Carpet, the Fern and the Small Emerald moth.
